Before you go

• Review the plan, location, forecast, conditions, difficulty, equipment, and costs for yourself.
• Choose a public, familiar meeting place for a first meetup. Arrange your own transportation and an easy way to leave.
• Tell a trusted person where you are going, who you expect to meet, and when you plan to return.
• Bring the clothing, water, food, medication, navigation, safety equipment, and experience the activity requires.
• For remote or higher-risk activities, use an appropriate trip plan and consider a qualified guide.

Trust your judgment

Profiles and plan descriptions are supplied by members and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Rally does not conduct background checks or verify skills, identity, fitness, equipment, conditions, or suitability. Ask questions, verify important details independently, and do not attend if something feels wrong.

During a meetup

• Respect consent and boundaries. You may leave or decline any activity at any time.
• Stay within your abilities. Conditions and group decisions can change quickly.
• Do not rely on another member for transportation, equipment, rescue, instruction, or medical care unless you have independently decided it is appropriate.
• Protect your drinks and belongings, and be cautious sharing personal or financial information.

Outdoor and activity risks

Activities may involve weather, water, wildlife, terrain, traffic, falls, collisions, equipment failure, getting lost, illness, injury, property loss, acts of other people, delayed emergency response, permanent disability, or death. Decide for yourself whether to participate and obtain suitable insurance where appropriate.

Emergencies and concerns
